
Softball Schedule Changes For NC State, Furman

NC State Invitational cancelled due to expected inclement weather; Eagles will now play DH vs. Furman
STATESBORO - Georgia Southern softball will not be traveling to the NC State Invitational this weekend, due to expected inclement weather in the Raleigh, N.C., area, announced today. The scheduled games against UMBC, NC State and Murray State will not be made up.
The Eagles have picked up one of the games they will miss by not traveling to NC by scheduling Furman for a doubleheader on Tuesday, Febraury 26, at Eagle Field. Originally slated for a single game, the two teams will now play a pair beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Georgia Southern is 9-4 this season and will face former SoCon rival Furman for the first time since leaving the conference in 2014. The Eagles are 60-31 all-time against the Paladins.
