Georgia Southern opens a four-match road swing in Alabama as the Eagles take on South Alabama Friday and Troy Saturday. First serve for both matches is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET, and Saturday's contest will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The Eagles have lost their last five contests and are coming off a 3-1 setback to Louisiana last Friday in Hanner Fieldhouse. Madison Brown ranks sixth in the Sun Belt in assists (9.21 per set), and Landon Jones ranks fourth in digs (4.44 per set). GS ranks fifth in digs as a team (15.16 per set).

South Alabama has won five of its last six but is coming off a 3-1 loss at Texas State Saturday. The Jags are 11-0 at home, including 4-0 in Sun Belt contests. GS leads the all-time series against South Alabama 7-6, but the Jags have won six of the last eight, including a 3-0 decision in Hanner Oct. 5.

Troy has won four of its last five contests and is coming off a 3-1 win at UTA. The Trojans are 8-0 at home this year and 4-0 in home league matches. The Eagles lead the all-time series against Troy 9-4 and have won eight of the last nine against the Trojans, including a 3-1 decision in Hanner Fieldhouse Oct. 4.


Following the weekend, GS travels to Arkansas State (Nov. 1) and Little Rock (Nov. 2) before returning home to play host to Appalachian State (Nov. 8) and Coastal Carolina (Nov. 9).
