
Cross Country Preview: Sand Shark Invitational Marks Final Stop Before Conference

Georgia Southern Competes at the SBC Championship Nov. 2
BEAUFORT, South Carolina – The Georgia Southern cross country team travels to USC-Beaufort for its final regular-season meet at the Sand Shark Invitational Saturday.
The Eagles run their usual 5K at 8:45 a.m. at the Hardeeville School Complex while traversing through Jasper Park and the Cooler property.
26 women's teams are expected to run ranging from NCAA Division I to NJCAA levels.
Most recently, the Eagles placed 10th at the FSU Invitational led by Merabu Nagwandala's school record time of 18:00.7, coming in ninth overall. Nagwandala was named Sun Belt Women's Runner of the Week for her performance.
Following the meet, the team heads to McDonough for the Sun Belt Championship on Nov. 2.
