Women's Golf Takes Third at Jupiter Invitational
JUPITER, Fla. – Freshman
Alberte Thuesen posted a team-best 73 to lead the Georgia Southern women's golf team to a third-place finish in the first Jupiter Invitational at Jonathan's Landing Golf Club Tuesday.
The Eagles finished 10 strokes back of Florida Gulf Coast in second, and Florida International won the inaugural event.
Thuesen took sixth to match her best career finish, and
Julianna Collett posted a 75 today to tie for 21st.
Sarah Noonan tied for 15th, and
Ella Ofstedahl tied for 19th, giving the Eagles four players in the top-25.
Thuesen parred her first six holes and shot a 1-over 37 on the front nine. The freshman birdied the 12th hole and added six pars on the back nine.
