Adam Davie Named Sun Belt Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

STATESBORO - Georgia Southern sophomore forward Adam Davie has been named the Sun Belt Conference's Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, announced today by league officials.
Davie had a hand in all three goals as the Eagles went 1-0-1 on the week's action, including picking up a Sun Belt-opening win over Georgia State on Saturday. The Nottingham, England, native tallied his seventh goal of the season on Tuesday in a 1-1 draw at South Carolina, setting a new season high in goals. Davie then assisted on both of the Eagles' goals on Saturday in a 2-1 win at the Panthers in Atlanta. On the year, Davie has seven goals and four assists, ranking second in the Sun Belt in points, goals and assists in the 2019 campaign.
Davie is the third different Eagle to earn the league's Offensive Player of the Week honor this season, joining Alhaji Tambadu (Sept. 3) and Aldair Cortes (Oct. 8) as Sun Belt weekly award winners this season.
The Eagles return to action on Friday, hosting new Sun Belt men's soccer member Central Arkansas at 7 p.m. at Eagle Field.
