Scholar-Athletes Recognized For Performance in the Classroom

Over 210 earned 3.0 or higher GPA in Fall 2018 semester
STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern Athletics Department recognized 212 scholar-athletes at Thursday night's basketball game against UTA. These student-athletes have found a way to balance playbooks and text books, all earning a term grade point average of a 3.0 or higher in the Fall 2018 semester. Among these student-athletes are 76 Dean's List recipients, as well as 42 scholar-athletes who earned a perfect term GPA of 4.0 and were named to the President's List.
Due to competition, the men's basketball and women's basketball scholar-athletes were not on the court.
Leading these students across the court and congratulating the student-athletes for academic achievement were Provost Dr. Carl Reiber, Faculty Athletics Representative Dr. Chris Geyerman, and Director of Athletics Tom Kleinlein.
These student-athletes represented their colleges and were escorted by their College Dean or Director:
