Four Eagles will head to Tulsa, Oklahoma to compete in the ITA All American Tournament
STATESBORO, Ga. – On Sunday, the Georgia Southern men's tennis team completed their weekend at the USC Fall Invite, hosted by the University of South Carolina. The Eagles brought eight guys to the tournament, including two new freshman.
Each of the eight guys played multiple matches and in doubles the Eagles fell to the eventual champions in a close match. The Blue and White will regroup and send Stefano Di Aloy, Murphy McCullough, Diego Finkelstein and Antonio Muniz to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the ITA All-American tournament.
WHAT HEAD COACH SANDER KONING SAID
"Overall I believe we learned a lot this tournament. The level was high and it was good to see where we are and what we need to do better. We competed hard and the guys are eager to get back to it this week with everything we have seen. Antonio played really well and it is good to see he is right there with some of the better players of the tournament. Diego had a really solid tournament and really progressed a lot. In the end it came down to making some changes quicker. In doubles we lost to the eventual winners of the draw and we played them close. We will regroup and work on getting better."
