The Eagles are 13th on the team leaderboard but just eight strokes away from fifth-place Augusta as nine schools are bunched together. Tourney host Furman leads the field at 5-under-par, and North Florida is second at 1-under. Ofstedahl is four shots off the lead in the individual standings.

Julianna Collett – 78 (+6), 65
Sarah Noonan – 79 (+7), T74
Natalie Petersen – 80 (+8), T79
The story
Ofstedahl birdied her last three holes and played her final seven holes 4-under to shoot 34 on the back nine. Bowman played 12 holes in the middle of her round even with a pair of birdies, and Collett shot 1-over on the front nine.
Quotables from Coach Emily Kuhfeld
"Today wasn't the start we wanted score-wise, but we saw a lot of positive things. As a team, we averaged about 13 Greens in Regulation which is exceptionally strong! However, we had a very high number of putts, so we didn't really take advantage of our stellar ball striking today."
"Tomorrow is a new day, and we have a lot to build on to climb up the leaderboard! Ella led the way with an even par 72, and we couldn't be prouder of her strong finish."
Next Up
