STATESBORO, Ga. – For the first time in 13 days the Georgia Southern men's tennis team will be on the courts again in the Sunshine State. The Eagles will head to Boca Raton and Daytona Beach for the first doubleheader of the season. The Blue and White will face off against Florida Atlantic and Bethune-Cookman in search of their first win of the season.
The Owls enter play with a 5-4 record, after falling to Miami 4-2 last Sunday. The last time the two team met was in 2014 when the Eagles defeated the Owls 4-3. The Eagles will play the first match of the doubleheader at 9:00 a.m. and then travel to take on Bethune-Cookman at 2:30 p.m.
The Wildcats currently sit at 0-2 on the season falling to College of Charleston and Stetson University. The last time the Eagles and Wildcats took the courts the Blue and White defeated the Wildcats 4-0.
SERIES HISTORY
The Owls currently lead the series with the Eagles 6-3, but the Blue and White have won the previous two matchups.
The Eagles currently lead the series 9-0 over Bethune-Cookman and will look to continue that success this weekend.
