SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Ella Ofstedahl shot a 73 to lead the Georgia Southern women's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Terrier Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Spartanburg Country Club.

Ofstedahl tied for second, her best career finish and her fourth top-10 in her last six events. Ansley Bowman carded a 77 today after a 72 yesterday and tied for fourth, her second straight top-5 outing.

GS finished a stroke ahead of Samford and a stroke behind Winthrop and USC Upstate, which tied for second. High Point won the tournament, besting the Eagles by three strokes. Ofstedahl was two shots behind medalist Becca Earl from tournament host Wofford.

The story
Georgia Southern led the tournament with 25 birdies and ranked second in par-5 scoring. Ofstedahl made three birdies on the day and shot even on the back nine. Bowman played a stretch of nine holes in the middle of her round 1-under and tallied an eagle at the par-5 17th.
