STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern sophomore Katie Knight has been named the CCSA Female Diver of the Week, announced today by league officials.
Knight helped the Eagles to a dual meet win over fellow CCSA school UNC Asheville on Friday, capturing the 3 Meter diving event with a score of 244.05. "Katie has been working hard on getting a bigger list on 3 meter," Georgia Southern diving coach Collin Vest said. "She has been doing great at practices as well, which led to her great performance on Friday against UNC Asheville."
This is the second career Diver of the Week honor for Knight, who also earned the honor on Oct. 25 of her freshman year.
Knight and the Eagle divers will be back in action on Saturday, November 3, hosting Tulane in a dual meet at the RAC. The Georgia Southern swimmers are back in action this Saturday, facing Campbell in Buies Creek, N.C.
