DULUTH, Ga. – Steven Fisk shot a pair of 65s, and Georgia Southern is in first place after two rounds of the AutoTrader Collegiate Classic at Berkeley Hills Country Club Monday.
It's the third consecutive round of 65 at the AutoTrader for Fisk, who shot a tournament and school record 66-66-65=197 to win the event last season. Fisk (-14) has a six-shot lead on Brandon Berry of Loyola (Md.) and Alec Stopperich of Samford.
Georgia Southern (-29) shot 273-274, the fifth and sixth times the Eagles have shot under 275 this season. The Eagles' team score in each of their last seven rounds all rank in the top-15 in school history. GS owns a five-shot lead over UNCG (-24), while Samford (-11) is third and Georgia State (-10) is fourth.Â

Ben Carr shot a 68 in the second round. He fired a 69 in the morning and is tied for fourth. Classmate
Wilson Andress carded a 68-70=138 and is tied for eighth.

The story
The Eagles lead the field in par-4 and par-5 scoring and rolled in a tournament high 48 birdies and three eagles.Â
Fisk birdied five of his first six holes to start the event and made nine in the first round. The senior added seven in the afternoon with a clean card.
Andress rolled in six birdies in each round, including five on the front nine of the afternoon session, and Carr also had an eagle on the 505-yard, par-5 3rd hole in the first round.Â

Crawford Simmons, who is playing as an individual this week, fired a career-low 66 in the afternoon. He started the round on 18, made four birdies on his first eight holes and added an eagle at the 500-yard, par-5 10th. He also rolled in birdies on 13 and 14.Â
