STATESBORO, Ga. – For the first time in program history the Georgia Southern men's tennis team traveled to USAF Academy, Colorado to compete against Air Force and the University of Incarnate Word. The Blue and White would be swept on the weekend falling to Air Force, 6-1 and UIW, 5-2.
 
WHAT HEAD COACH SANDER KONING SAID
"We beat ourselves this weekend. We didn't play with our fundamentals and at a place like this you can't afford that. We will regroup and change some things before heading to Miami."

AIR FORCE
The Eagles began the weekend with the first ever matchup against the Air Force Academy. The Falcons jumped out to an early lead, sweeping the doubles point and leading 1-0. Diego Finkelstein would claim the Eagles first point, with a three set victory on court two. The Falcons would go on to sweep the final six points and remain unbeaten on the year.

INCARNATE WORD
The Blue and White continued there Colorado stint, Sunday morning, when they took on the University of Incarnate Word. The Eagles got off to a quick start winning the doubles point with victories on courts one and three. Stefano Di Aloy notched his first victory of the season with a 6-3, 6-4 victory in straight sets. The Eagles will return home for the week, before heading to Coral Gables, Florida to compete against Miami and Florida Gulf Coast.
