WHAT HEAD COACH BRIAN DUNLEAVY SAID
"Many lessons learned today. The score line certainly flatters Washington State. We made three big errors in the back today, and that atypical of our team this year. When you play a power 5 team, they punish mistakes. I'm proud of our players though, they worked really hard. Particularly how physical our opponent was, they fouled us an awful lot and we should've done better with the set pieces we had. Washington State's style of play asked a lot of questions of our back four and goalkeeper. So we can learn from this and do a better job defensively in the future. On a more positive note, we got forward and caused them issues. When we got a good rhythm things looked good. Not a pleasing result but we learned a lot from this trip out here. We have a big break to get focused on our Sun Belt Conference schedule."
