The Eagles open a four-match conference road trip Friday when they travel to Troy for a 7:30 p.m. contest. Georgia Southern also takes on South Alabama, Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State during the stretch.
Georgia Southern leads the all-time series against Troy 5-4 and has won the last four. The Eagles are 1-2 on the road against the Trojans and defeated Troy 3-2 in Trojan Arena last October.
The Eagles lead the all-time series against South Alabama 6-2 and split with the Jags last season with each team winning at home. The Eagles are 2-1 at South Alabama.Â
These will be the first of two meetings between the schools this season. Troy (Oct. 12) and South Alabama (Oct. 13) travel to Hanner Fieldhouse in early October.
Georgia Southern is coming off a 3-0 win over South Carolina State Tuesday night in Hanner Fieldhouse and have won their last two matches. GS hit a season high .320 against the Bulldogs and freshman Skylar Ball led the way with 11 kills to go along with three blocks. It's the second straight match she has posted double-digit kills. She was named to the all-tournament team at the Bash in the Boro Sept. 2.

Georgia Southern had four matches canceled or postponed because of Hurricane Irma. The Eagles have rescheduled a pair of matches against Savannah State and will face the Tigers in Savannah Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. and in Hanner Fieldhosue Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m. GS also rescheduled a match at North Florida for Oct. 16 at 6 p.m.
