Eagles Return Home to Host Jaguars and Red Wolves

Women's Soccer will host South Alabama and Arkansas State in first matches back in Statesboro

STATESBORO, Ga. – For the first time in 35 days the Eagles will take the pitch inside the friendly confines of Eagle Field. The Blue and White enter play posting a 3-5-1 record overall and are 1-2-0 in conference play. Three Eagles lead the team in goals score so far this season. Juveina Hylton, Nicole Aussin, and Frida Brattum are tied for the lead with two goals apiece.

"Big weekend for us at home," head coach Brian Dunleavy said. "We've been on the road for so long that we are really eager to play on our home field. We've traveled from sea to shining sea in the past month. It's been a long haul but it has made us stronger as a group. We are expecting a big crowd on Friday night, which will add to the excitement. I'm really looking forward to seeing our players take another step forward against two excellent teams. South Alabama has been the cream of the crop in this conference since we've joined in 2014. I'm proud of how far our program has come, but now we need to make a push to get climbing up the table."

The Jaguars enter play on Friday leading the conference with a perfect 3-0-0 record, after playing some tough non-conference opponents to begin the season. To get to that position they have defeated Appalachian State, ULM, and Georgia State. The Eagles currently hold a 3-0-0 record against Arkansas State, after defeating the Red Wolves last season 2-1 in overtime to conclude the year.
