STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern softball team travels to Mobile, Alabama this weekend for a Sun Belt conference series against South Alabama. The Eagles (24-22, 12-9 SBC) will face the Jaguars (28-18, 10-12 SBC) in a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon starting at 2 p.m. ET, followed by a single game at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. Last weekend South Alabama completed a series sweep of Louisiana-Monroe, belting out four home runs in the final game on Sunday to make it a 7-4 victory. The Jaguars had its last non-conference game of the season on Tuesday, where the team broke its four-game win streak against No. 7 LSU to put USA at 28-18 overall this season. South Alabama owns a 5-1 all-time record over Georgia Southern and is currently 10-12 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Kaleigh Todd continues to rank among the conference leaders in hits (58), triples (3), stolen bases (16), runs scored (38) and batting average (.379). Over her last 28 games, Todd has had a hit in all but five and had multiple hits 12 times. She also recorded her first career home run in game two at ULM as she had an inside-the-park homer in the eighth inning to give USA the 2-1 win. Senior outfielder Amanda Minahan paces the team in home runs (8) and sits just outside the league's Top 10 in both RBIs and home runs, while she is tied for 10th in total bases with 73.
Devin Brown (14-6) returned to the circle over the weekend and recorded her fifth-straight complete game. The junior right-hander leads the Sun Belt in opposing batting average (.189) and is second in ERA (1.73). Brown has racked up 160 strikeouts on the year and also ranks among the NCAA leaders in shutouts (9). Destin Vicknair has been solid in the circle this season as she holds a 12-9 record and a 2.55 ERA. She comes into the weekend ranking in the Top 10 of the league in several different pitching categories.

Kierra Camp threw her first collegiate no-hitter during game two of the doubleheader, the first an Eagle has thrown since 2014. Senior
Emily Snider knocked six RBI's on Wednesday evening and is leading the GS offense with a .403 batting average, 43 RBIs and a career-high 16 home runs. Freshman outfielder
Mekhia Freeman is second on the team with a .343 average, and behind her is
Lydia Witkowski with a .307 average. Sophomore pitcher
Dixie Raley is 13-15 in the circle throughout 152.1 innings of work with a 3.12 ERA, and junior
Kierra Camp is 8-7 with a 4.64 ERA in 105.2 innings.
