Savannah State enters this midweek matchup with an overall record of 1-34 and is currently on a five-game losing skid. The Tiger's only win so far this season came earlier this month during a conference game against Florida A&M, where the team took game two of a doubleheader. Savannah State will finish off its 10-game road trip in Statesboro, where the Eagles own a 6-1 all-time record against the Tigers.

Sophomore third baseman Cortni Jones leads the team with a .500 batting average and has racked up eight runs, 21 hits, and two home runs on the year. Jones' slugging percentage is .786 and she currently owns a reached based streak of 13. Jones also recently went 4-for-4 against North Carolina A&T State University, with a run scored and three RBIs. Senior right fielder Alexis Singleton is batting .330 with 13 runs scored and 11 RBIs. Singleton recorded the lone RBI against Jacksonville University and drove in two runs.

On the mound, senior pitcher Amanda McDowell has a 10.85 ERA with eight complete games and 82 strikeouts. McDowell has appeared in 29 games and started in 17. Sophomore Faith Dickerson has a 12.88 ERA with three complete games and 19 strikeouts. As a team, the Tigers are hitting .236 with 85 runs scored, while in the circle SSU has a 12.86 ERA with 12 complete games and 107 strikeouts.
The Eagles are coming off of a series loss to Texas State where they lost two of the three games. GS sits at 22-22 overall, 12-9 in conference play. SeniorÂ
Emily Snider is leading the offense with a .388 batting average, 37 RBIs and thirteen home runs. Freshman outfielderÂ
Mekhia Freeman is second on the team with a .348 average, and behind her isÂ
Lydia Witkowski with a .313 average.Â
Dixie Raley is 13-15 in the circle throughout 149.1 innings of work with a 3.14 ERA, andÂ
Kierra Camp is 7-7 with a 4.97 ERA in 98.2 innings.
