STATESBORO, Ga. – For the final time this season the Georgia Southern men's tennis team will be on the road to cap off a nine match road trip. The Eagles will begin the final road trip with a meeting against No. 37 Georgia State, then head up to Greensboro, North Carolina to take on UNC-Greensboro, before heading to Boone to finish the weekend with Appalachian State. Following this road trip the Eagles will return home to the friendly confines of Wallis Tennis Center to face off against Coastal Carolina on senior day.

"We are going on a tough road trip against good teams," Head coach
Sander Koning said. "We have had some bad luck in the past couple of matches and we are looking to turn it around. The guys have been practicing well and understand what we are and what we need to do."

The No. 37 team in the Nation, Georgia State, enters play with a 12-6 record overall and a 2-1 record in conference play. The Panthers host the Eagles posing a four match winning streak after defeating Middle Tennessee, Coastal Carolina, Charlotte, and UNC-Wilmington. The last time these two teams met the Panthers defeated the Eagles 4-1.

UNC-Greensboro posts a 5-7 record and a 1-2 record in the SoCon. The Spartans are a familiar foe for the blue and white having faced them in the Southern Conference. The last time the Eagles faced the Spartans they fell 4-3 at home in Wallis Tennis Center.

Appalachian State hosts the Eagles following a 12 match road trip. The Mountaineers enter play posting a 9-6 record, and a 0-1 record in Sun Belt play. The last time the blue and white faced off against Appalachian State they fell 4-3 on the final match of the season for both teams. The Eagles will look to get back on track this weekend during conference play.

LAST TIME OUT

Last time out the Eagles traveled to Alabama to face off against UAB and Troy. The blue and white were swept on the weekend falling 4-3 to the Blazers and 4-0 to the Trojans.
