Storey Named Sun Belt Men’s Golfer of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern's Jake Storey has been named the Sun Belt Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the league announced today.
Jake Storey picked up his first collegiate win by shooting 67-67-74=208 (-8) at the Georgia Southern Individual Collegiate and backed that up with a T12 at SunTrust Gator Invitational. The junior shot 74-69-71=214 (+4) to finish ahead of nine top-100 players.
He led the Eagles to a sixth-place finish, ahead of four top-50 teams, including 12th-ranked Wake Forest. Storey posted a scoring average of 70.33 in the two tourneys and now has four top-20 finishes in his career and two in the top-10.
The Eagles return to action at the Palmetto Invitational March 6-7 in Aiken, S.C.
