"Celebrate Agriculture Day" Scheduled for Saturday's Game

The second-annual Ag Game brings light to Georgia's top industry

STATESBORO, Ga.— For the second consecutive year, Georgia Southern Athletics hosts "Celebrate Georgia Agriculture Day", which takes place during the Eagles' football game against in-state rival Georgia State on Saturday.

"Celebrate Georgia Agriculture" presented by Georgia Farm Bureau, Low Country Machinery, JCB, Massey Ferguson and Kubota, aims to bring light to locally grown and sourced products, as well as highlight the importance of agriculture as a whole. Other partners include Bulloch Telephone, Georgia Beef Board, Georgia Cotton, Georgia Peanuts and Southeast United Dairy Industry Association (SUDIA).

Before the 3 p.m. kick, fans can enjoy the Georgia Farm Bureau Fan Fair, which features booths, giveaways and prime photo-ops from all of the sponsors. If you're hungry before the game, be sure to stop by the SUDIA tent for some savory, nutritious cheese (along with fun gifts and handouts) or Georgia Beef Board's tailgate for some delicious tailgate classics—hotdogs! Georgia Peanuts will also be handing out peanuts to fans that stop by their tent near Gate 11.

The Chris Mitchell Band will also be performing bluegrass and country songs to go along with the theme game. Inside the gates, Georgia Farm Bureau and the 4H Club will be handing out game programs.
