The Eagles return home to face Sun Belt opponents Troy (Oct. 12) and South Alabama (Oct. 13) in Hanner Fieldhouse. Both matches are set for 6:30 p.m. starts. Thursday's match is the annual Dig Pink match, and Friday's contest is Friday the 13th Blackout.

It's the second of two scheduled meetings against each school this season. GS defeated Troy 3-0 Sept. 29 and fell 3-0 to South Alabama Sept. 30.

Georgia Southern leads the all-time series against Troy 6-3 and has won the last five. The Eagles are 3-1 against the Trojans at home. The Eagles lead the all-time series against South Alabama 6-3 and are 4-1 against the Jags in Hanner Fieldhouse.

Georgia Southern is in a stretch in which the Eagles play 10 of 12 on the road. GS plays four of its final five matches in Hanner Fieldhouse, starting Nov. 2, against Coastal Carolina.

The Eagles are coming off a 3-1 victory at Savannah State Tuesday. Carly Turner notched seven kills and five blocks for the Eagles, and Lauren Reichard contributed six kills and four blocks. Landon Jones made her first career start at setter and recorded 34 assists and seven digs. Cathrine Murray finished with a season-high 17 kills and 13 digs.

Murray has 911 kills and is 65 away from cracking the top-10 on the school's career chart. The senior also has 718 digs and 103 blocks.

Classmate Anna Wenger has 664 career kills, and Megan Chevalier has 709.

Reichard has 559 career kills and 299 blocks. The junior ranks eighth on the school's career block list.

Georgia Southern had four matches canceled or postponed because of Hurricane Irma. GS has already played a make-up match against Savannah State and will host the Tigers Nov. 6. GS also rescheduled a match at North Florida for Oct. 16 at 6 p.m.
