STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern women's soccer team plays two home games this weekend against Kennesaw State and No. 14 South Florida. The Eagles are looking to extend their two-game winning streak after clenching big wins over both Charlotte and Winthrop. GS will complete their preseason slate when they face off against the Owls at 7 p.m. on Friday night, and the Bulls at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

LAST MATCH
The Georgia Southern Eagles are coming off of recent wins against Charlotte and Winthrop. This past Sunday, GS defeated Winthrop 3-2 for their second-straight win.

Sarah Price all recorded goals for Georgia Southern in the contest. Price, a junior midfielder, scored the game-winner and tallied on two assists as well.
SCOUTING KENNESAW STATE AND SOUTH FLORIDA
Kennesaw State (4-1-1) is coming off of a win against UNC Ashville last Sunday. Senior Shannon Driscoll leads the Owls with five goals and 11 points and recorded a hat trick earlier in the season against Alabama A&M. Senior midfielder Brittney Reed was chosen to the 2016 All-Conference preseason team, and has tallied three goals and two assists already this season. The Owls are currently sitting in second in the Atlantic Sun rankings.

th-ranked South Florida (5-0-0) has outscored their opponents 12-4 so far this season, and the team is coming off of a shutout win against Alabama last Sunday. USF just recently earned the program's highest ranking in school history, coming in at 14 in the NSCAA Coaches Poll. The undefeated Bulls are led offensively by freshman forward Evelyne Veins and senior forward Leticia Skeete, who each have three goals already this season. Between the pipes, Kay Elliott has started every game for the Bulls and recorded 18 saves.
SERIES HISTORY
Georgia Southern and Kennesaw State will meet for only the second time in a series where the Eagles trail 1-0. The two teams faced off in 2010 and the Owls won 2-1. GS and USF will face off for the third time in a series tied 1-1. The two teams played each other for the first time since 1996 last season in Tampa, and the Bulls defeated the Eagles 5-0.
BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIR TO THE GAME
Georgia Southern invites fans to bring their own lawn chairs to all home soccer games and sit in the grassy areas to the sides of the goals just off of the playing surface. Tents are not allowed and pets must be kept off the track and field.
NEXT UP
Sun Belt play starts up next Thursday for the Eagles when they travel to UL Monroe on Sept. 15. GS will then travel to South Alabama to face off against the Jaguars on Sept. 18.
