STATESBORO, Ga.- The Georgia Southern track and field team continues their outdoor season at the War Eagle Invitational this weekend, hosted by Auburn. Going up against 16 schools, the Eagles look to extend their success at the Hutsell-Rosen Track on Saturday.
A week before, the team posted 26 top 10 finishes, including four gold medal honors.
Jamelia Owens threw for a career-best 44.07 meters in the shot put, Walker jumped for 5.81 meters in the long jump,
Tatiyana Rayford ran the 100m in 14.52 seconds and Bailey Willet notched a career-best 2:14.17 in the 800m.
On top of the four first-place finishes, 12 personal records were set last week at Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
