STATESBORO, GA. – You never forget your first time. Members of the 2015 Georgia Southern Football got another reminder on Saturday when they were presented with their 2015 GoDaddy Bowl Championship Rings. The ceremony, held after the 2016 Spring Game marked the fourth time that Eagle football players had received a ring in the last five years.
"Georgia Southern's inaugural bowl trip and victory in the GoDaddy Bowl was a tremendous moment not only for our football team, but for the University as a whole," said Athletics Director
Tom Kleinlein. "We are very proud of this team that moved up from the FCS level and sacrificed a lot by not being able to go to the postseason for two seasons. These rings are a symbol of their achievement and we are extremely honored to present them to the team."
The 2015 GoDaddy Bowl Championship Ring features the words Georgia Southern around a football design which resembles the Eagles 1989 National Championship rings. One side features the player's name, the Georgia Southern Eagle head logo and 2015. The other side says features the GoDaddy Bowl logo and the 58-27 final score.
