STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern women's tennis team gears up to play Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday in Daytona Beach, Florida. The dual match starts at 1:30 p.m. against the Eagles, who are 7-5 and the Wildcats who are 8-9 overall and 2-0 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
Â
Last weekend, the Eagles took two tough losses—one to Southern Miss on Friday and another to UNCG on Sunday. However,
Giulia Riepe continued her strong play, winning both singles matches at the No.1 position to extend her spring record to 9-2.
Â
So far this season, both teams have downed Presbyterian—the Eagles advancing 5-2 and BCU winning 4-3. For the past three matches, the Wildcats have come out on top at home as a part of their five-match home stand that ends with Georgia Southern.
Â
Before the Eagles compete in Daytona Beach, BCU hosts North Carolina Central for their third conference match of the year.
