DELAND, Fla.- The Georgia Southern men's tennis team ended their Florida weekend with another win, beating Stetson 4-1. The Eagles, who beat FAU yesterday 4-2, picked up four singles victories to clinch their second match in a row.

"Before the match started I told the guys that they should see this match as a test-- a test of who we want to be as a team," head coach Sander Koning said. "We had a hard-fought win yesterday and either that's something special, and we do that on occasion, or we bring that same kind of energy and grit every time we play. The guys made a decision that it's how they want to be known as a team and handled their business."

Although Stetson won on the doubles front, Georgia Southern turned it around first with Andre Johnson's 6-4, 6-1 victory at No.6. Christian Kerrigan (No.5) and Dani Casablancas (No.4) finished up their matches next to place the Blue and White up 3-1. To pick up the match victory, JC Alcala handed Pierre-Emmanuel Fossier a 6-3, 6-4 loss.

"In singles everybody came out with a purpose and everybody battled hard from the first point," Koning said. "I am especially proud of Chris and Dani; both of them had a heartbreaking loss yesterday, and they got right back on the horse to compete and won their matches."

After this weekend, the Eagles are now 4-2 for the spring season.
