STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Women's Soccer is back in action on Wednesday night as Winthrop comes to town for a clash of the Eagles. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Eagle Field where admission is Free. Fans can watch the match on GS All-Access, the premium streaming platform of Georgia Southern Athletics.

LAST MATCHThe Eagles picked up their first win of the season on Friday night with a 5-1 drubbing of Francis Marion at the friendly confines.
Nora El-Shami scored on a penalty and tallied two assists in the win. Other scorers included

WHO TO WATCHWittick picked up her third goal of the season in the win over Winthrop to lead the team in scoring early this season. El-Shami picked up her ninth point of the season and leads the Sun Belt with 1.80 assists per game. She has two goals and five assists on the young season. Goalkeeper

SERIES HISTORYGeorgia Southern is 1-3-0 all-time against Winthrop and dropped the last match between the programs back in 2012 before eventually winning the Sun Belt Tournament Championship. This is Winthrop's first trip to Statesboro since 2006.
NEXT UPGeorgia Southern is on the road for their next three contests before opening league play at home. The Eagles visit Alabama State on Friday night at 6 p.m. before facing South Florida and North Florida next weekend.
