WHAT COACH BRIAN DUNLEAVY SAIDOn the goals from Friday Night's game"We wanted to establish a rhythm with tonight's game and we wanted to put together a total 90 minutes. I think that is something that we have struggled with this season. We have played really good soccer and been on the bad end of results because of mental lapses or defensive mistakes. That has cost us early on in the season, so tonight I think we showed that we were taking strides in the right direction."
On the halftime adjustments"At halftime I told the team that one goal would get them back in the game and the thing we wanted to avoid was letting them back in the game. We wanted to establish possession and put the pressure on them. I think we did a good job of that."
On the defense"The defense was a big part in tonight's win which was good because we spent a lot of time this week focusing on defense. One of the things I'm most happy about is that we worked a lot on dealing with balls that were in behind our back four and we played those situations well tonight."
