Eagles can take the season’s first win on Friday night
STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Women's Soccer returns to the friendly confines on Friday night as Frances Marion comes to Eagle Field for a non-conference contest. The Eagles venture out in search of their first win of the season on Friday night starting at 7 p.m. The game can be seen live on GS All-Access on GSEagles.com.

Jennifer Wittick scored a pair of goals on Sunday in the Eagles' most-recent contest at Charlotte. Her brace wasn't enough for the Eagles who fell 4-3 as the teams combined for six total goals in the first half alone.

Wittick and Melinda Lukas share the team lead in scoring with two goals each. Lukas scored late in the Charlotte match while senior Nora El-Shami has three assists to pace the Georgia Southern attack. Defensively senior Renee Nance and junior Alana McShane have anchored the Eagle back line.
SERIES HISTORY
The Eagles and Patriots play for the third-straight season in a series which has been dominated by Georgia Southern. The Eagles took the first match in the series 5-0 in 2013 and added a 2-1 win last year.
