Megan Chevalier was named all-tournament after tallying a career high and matching the Sun Belt high this season with 27 kills in the Eagles' win over Chicago State. The total was five shy of the school record for kills in a 4-set match. The sophomore averaged 4.17 kills (50 total) and hit .433 for the week with just 11 errors in 90 swings.
Alex Beecher averaged 5.50 digs per set last week and collected 28 digs against Tennessee State and 20 vs. Winthrop. The total against the Tigers was the seventh most digs in a match by a Sun Belt student-athlete this season. It was the 25th and 26th time she has posted 20-plus digs in a match in her career, and the junior is now 349 digs shy of the Georgia Southern career record.
Setter Kat Minnerly ranks fifth on the school's career assist list, 759 shy of third. The senior played in her 100th career match against Chicago State.
Junior Crysten Curry ranks eighth in career blocks at Georgia Southern with 258. She matched her season high with seven against Winthrop.
