STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Men's Soccer kicks off the 2015 season at home on Friday night as Stetson comes to town to open the year. The Eagles open the season at home for just the second time in the last five seasons.

The Eagles finished the preseason this week in which the team scored 14 total goals in the two preseason friendlies. Georgia Southern was selected third in the Sun Belt preseason men's soccer poll while
Jack Falle and
Emmanuel Raji were named Sun Belt Defensive and Offensive Preseason Student-Athletes of the Year, respectively.
The Eagles will look to avenge a 5-2 loss to the Hatters last season. That game was match between the programs in series history.

Thor Sveinbjornsson scored goals in the match.
The Eagles travel to face South Carolina in Columbia on Monday night. That match can be seen live on SEC Network Plus through ESPN3.com. The busy start to the season continues on Wednesday as Presbyterian College comes to Eagle Field for a 6 p.m. game against the Blue Hose.
