Griffin Named to Johnny Bench Award Watch List

WICHITA, Kan. – Senior catcher Chase Griffin was named to the 2015 Johnny Bench Award presented by BaseballSavings.com Watch List as announced by the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission on Wednesday.
The prestigious national award honors the best catcher in college baseball and will be presented at the 18th Annual Greater Wichita Sports Banquet on June 25, 2015.
Griffin is second on the team with a .328 batting average and 10 RBI. Griffin ranks among the active career leaders in the nation in both at-bats and RBI. The senior has three doubles, a triple and a home run on the season.
The Eagles will host North Florida today at J.I. Clements Stadium and will travel to Troy this weekend for a three-game Sun Belt Conference series.
