Men’s Tennis To Take On Hatters Of Stetson

Statesboro, Ga. – The Eagles (3-5) return to action Friday when they take on the Stetson University Hatters beginning at 2 p.m. from the Wallis Tennis Center.

Serving It Up
•    In their previous match, the Eagles fell 3-4 to the Trojans of Troy University.  The 1 point loss marks 2nd time the Eagles have found themselves on the losing end of a closely contested match.
•    Eagles split at the Troy Trojan Jamboree.  Originally slated to compete in 4 matches, due to weather, the Eagles managed to play just 2.  They were .500 at the event (Defeated Nicholls State 6-1, lost to Troy University 3-4). 
•    A match between the Eagles and South Carolina State was started, but suspended after the doubles were complete due to weather.  South Carolina State leads the Eagles 1-0 in that match which has been rescheduled for Sunday March 22nd at 1 p.m. from the Wallis Tennis Center.  The match will resume with singles play.

Coach Koning's Thoughts
"The team has really been locked in this week during practice and we are looking forward to the challenge that Stetson will bring. They are a good team. I expect it to be another battle. It will come down to who deals with the pressure better."
