Senior Spotlight: 18 Questions with Men's Golfer Scott Wolfes

Senior Scott Wolfes has finished in the top-20 in 27 of his 40 collegiate starts. He looks to cap his career this season with a third straight NCAA appearance.
1. Who got you in to the game of golf and when did you start playing?
My Dad got me into the game of golf when I was around 10 years old.
2. If you weren't playing golf, what others sports would you be competing in at the college level?
If I was not playing golf I would hopefully be playing baseball or basketball at the college level.
3. You're one of 4 seniors on the team, what's your leadership style?
I try and set the best example possible for my teamates.
4. If your talents were absolutely limitless, what would you do for a living? (you can't say professional golf)
I would try and make my own fortune five hundred company.
5. What is your perfect pre-game meal?
Chipotle would have to be the pre round meal.
6. What do you enjoy doing on your day off?
I like to go offshore fishing if possible.
7. If you could start your own professional sports team what would the team name be and what would the colors be...why?
The Savannah Sloths. It would be a triple A baseball team and there team colors would be red and white.
8. Who on the team are you closest with?
I would say I am close with everyone on the team, but the closest would have to be Caleb Morris, Charlie Martin and Henry Mabbet since we came to college and lived together freshman year.
9. What are the first 3 songs on your pre-tournament playlist?
Time, by Hootie and the Blowfish. Yellow Ledbetter, Pearl Jam. Electric Feel, MGMT.
10. What's your go to dance move?
I don't think it is a good idea if I try and dance.
11. Walk us through your pre-round warm-up....do you like to start on the range? short-game? How long do you like to have to warm up?
I usually take about 45 minutes to warm up. The first thing I do is putt for 20-25 minutes and then I go and warm up on the range before I tee off.
12. What are you majoring in and what's your favorite class?
My major is Business Marketing, and I would have to say that International Marketing is my favorite class.
13. What makes Coach Collins the type of coach you love to play for?
Coach Collins is the the type of coach you love to play for because he understands his players on and off the course. He also is a very good golfer and has experienced just about every situation you could go through on the course.
14. Who is the funniest person on the team and why?
Charlie Martin is the funniest because of how goofy he is, and the off the wall jokes, comments and statements he makes constantly.
15. Name a teammate who has tons of potential and tell us why?
Everyone of the guys on our golf team has a ton of potential or they would not have been recruited to such a good golf program.
16. Once you're done at Georgia Southern, what do you want to be remembered as?
When I am done with golf at Georgia Southern I want to remembered as being a part of some of the best golf teams in the history of Georgia Southern Golf.
17. What is plan once you graduate?
After I graduate I plan to start my professional golf career.
18. What do you want to say to the fans who have watched you play during your time at Georgia Southern?
I can't thank the fans enough that support us! Georgia Southern has some of the best fans in all of sports and I get reminded of that every time I play in an event or go to one. It is something to be proud of and I will always be a fan of Georgia Southern! Go Eagles!
