Softball Hosts 2015 Eagle Classic Starting on Friday

Five-team tournament returns to Statesboro this weekend

STATESBORO, GA. – After a slow start to the season, Georgia Southern Softball returns to the friendly confines this weekend for the Eagle Classic at Eagle Field beginning on Friday. The five-team tournament features 12 total games beginning on Friday at 10 a.m. Georgia Southern plays five times this weekend, beginning on Friday at 4 p.m.

FRIDAY – FEB. 13th, 2015

10 a.m. – Tennessee Tech vs. Boston College
Noon – Binghamton vs. Boston College
2 p.m. – Campbell vs. Tennessee Tech
4 p.m. – Georgia Southern vs. Binghamton
6 p.m. – Campbell vs. Georgia Southern

SATURDAY – FEB. 14th, 2015
10 a.m. – Campbell vs. Binghamton
Noon – Boston College vs. Campbell
2 p.m. – Boston College vs. Georgia Southern
4 p.m. – Tennessee Tech vs. Georgia Southern

SUNDAY – FEB. 15th, 2015
10 a.m. – Boston College vs. Binghamton
Noon – Binghamton vs. Tennessee Tech
2 p.m. – Tennessee Tech vs. Georgia Southern

The Eagles opened the 2015 season with four losses to the No. 5 and No. 6 teams ranked in the country, facing one of the toughest opening weekends of any team nationwide. Georgia Southern was the victim of big innings while hitting against All-American pitching staffs and the defending National Player of the Year in Lacy Waldrop.
