JC Alcala makes it to the finals of the Flight 1 bracket
CHARLESTON, S.C.- Sophomore JC Alcala of the Georgia Southern men's tennis team leads the Eagles after the second day of the four-team Charleston Challenge, making it to the final in the Flight 1 draw and marking a doubles win over Presbyterian today with partner Christian Kerrigan.
Also tallying wins today are Nico de Groof and Andre Johnson who won 6-2 in the No.1 doubles flight today and Adam Brown, who won in straight sets in the Flight 4 singles draw. The Eagles compete in their final day of the tournament on Sunday with both doulbes and singles matches.

"We came out with a lot more energy in doubles. The guys were more aggressive at critical points and setting each other up better.
"In singles we were very up and down with our focus. We would play well for a period and then we would play very sloppy at times. Everybody will play again tomorrow, and I am looking for the guys to make some adjustments and finish this tournament strong."
