WHAT HEAD COACH NATE KELLOGG SAID
"I thought we swam very well tonight. Obviously in our first home meet everyone is excited to come out and prove themselves. All-around it was a solid performance and we set three pool records. It is always nice to start the year setting records and we are starting to see what everyone's potential is. It's exciting because we are performing at a higher level now than we anticipated coming into the season. We've still got a lot of potential so we are very happy with where we are at right now."
WHAT DIVING COACH DAVID GIAMBRA SAID
"The divers had a great day today. Emma Weisel broke the pool record on the 3-meter board and Hannah Mudge had her first collegiate meet. I thought both of them performed extremely well. It was a great first meet and I'm excited to see where they go from here."
NEXT UP
Georgia Southern will have a month to prepare for the Georgia Tech Invitational which runs November 19-21 in Atlanta. The Eagles will face some of the nation's top squads in the three-day meet at the home pool for the 1996 Olympic Games.
