Eagles in both Division I and Division I Mid-Major polls
STATESBORO, Ga. – Solid swims to open the season last weekend have propelled the Eagles to rankings in both the CollegeSwimming.com Division I and Division I Mid-Major polls. Georgia Southern sits 47th in the overall Division I poll and 18th in the mid-major poll. Next up for the Eagles is the 2015-16 home opener on Friday night against Campbell.
Georgia Southern defeated North Florida on Saturday and dropped a close decision to Florida International to open the 2015-16 season. The Eagles were paced by freshman Athena Cimino who made her debut by winning both the 50 Free and 100 Free.
Campbell comes to Statesboro on Friday night for the first home meet of the season. The Eagles face the Camels starting at 6:30 p.m. inside the RAC natatorium.
