The Eagles play host to in-state rival Georgia State Wednesday and Arkansas State Saturday. First serve for both matches is 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday's match against the Panthers will be televised live on ESPN3 with Drew Fellios calling the action. It's also the first contest in the recently-announced Georgia Southern - Georgia State Rivalry Series. The winner gets a half point in the competition. It's the Eagles' GATA Game, and all Georgia Southern student-athletes will be in attendance to support the volleyball team.
Alex Beecher has recorded 20-plus digs in her last six matches and is now 209 away from the Georgia Southern career record. The junior libero had 23 digs against UT Arlington and 21 vs. Texas State last week. She is ranked seventh in the nation in digs.

Katie Bange has six double-doubles, and five of the six have included double-figure kills.

Kat Minnerly ranks fifth on the school's career assist list with 2,771. The senior played in her 100th career match against Chicago State.
Junior
Crysten Curry ranks sixth in career blocks at Georgia Southern with 283.
Three juniors who received medical redshirts last season - Beecher, Curry and Bange - have returned to the lineup this season and played in every match.
Georgia Southern will host the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Hanner Fieldhouse Sept. 20-22. The top-8 teams will battle for the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. It's the first time the Eagles are hosting their conference tournament since 2005, when Georgia Southern hosted the Southern Conference Championship in Hanner. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting
