LAST WEEKEND'S MATCH
The Eagles come off of a rough weekend, dropping both home games 1-0 against South Alabama and Troy, to place them just one goal apart from the top two teams in the Sun Belt.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
App State now sits in the No. 3 spot in the conference, after picking up a couple wins against UL Monroe and UL Lafayette last weekend. Jane Cline led the team to victory, scoring three of the four goals over the weekend to total a team-high seven goals this season. The previous weekend, the Mountaineers lost to both South Alabama and Troy 3-0.

Ranked No. 5 in the Sun Belt, Texas State also posted wins against UL Lafayette (4-2) and UL Monroe (1-0). Lynsey Curry scored the lone goal against the Warhawks and sunk in two others at Lafayette. Curry leads the team in points (23), goal (9) and assists (5) this year. The Bobcats couldn't trump Troy or South Alabama, losing 4-1 and 2-1 respectively.

SERIES HISTORY
The Eagles lead the series 15-12-1, shutting out the Mountaineers for the past two years in a row. Only 10 of the 28 games have not resulted in a shutout and in all 10 of them, the loser has only tallied one goal.

Georgia Southern looks to break the deuce between Texas State this season. Last year, the two played each other for the first time and ended the game tied in double overtime, each with one goal.

NEXT UP
The Eagles gear up for the Sun Belt Conference in Atlanta from Nov. 3-8.
