WHAT HEAD COACH SANDER KONING SAID
"Rise started well in his first match today. He was able to make it tough on the service games of his opponent early in the match, and this helped Rise later on. His opponent has a tricky game; he uses a lot of different shots and likes to come to the net. It is really unorthodox in today's game. Rise managed to keep his mind together and strike at the right times.
In the second match Rise got another quick start going up 4-0. His opponent is a very athletic guy and has the ability to get in the match quickly so it was key for Rise to keep the pressure on him. He did this by mixing up his serve and stepping up with his forehand consistently on short balls.
Overall, Rise played very solid today, and tomorrow's final will be another tough match against Whitehurst of FSU. We have seen him play and he is a good competitor. At this stage in the tournament everybody is battle-tested so I expect it to be a great match."
