MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia Southern women's rifle team earned their second-ever victory as the Eagles defeated Georgia Military College 2551-2356 on Thursday. 

GSU bested their previous record team score of 2259 set last year in the SEARC Championship and posted a new program high of 2551.

The Eagles, who entered the year 1-2 all-time in dual meet play, won their second head-to-head victory to even their all-time record to 2-2. 

The meet was the first of the season but not the only one of the week. GSU will travel to Dahlonega, Ga. Saturday to compete in the first Southeastern Air Rifle Conference meet of the year.
