STATESBORO, Ga. – The 2014 Georgia Southern Women's Soccer season starts this weekend with a pair of road games against Francis Marion and UNC Wilmington. The Eagles took a 5-0 win over the Patriots last season and travel to Florence for the first time in series history. Sunday's game is the first meeting between the programs in a decade.

Hello Newcomers
The 2014 Eagles feature 10 newcomers including two players with Division I experience, and two additional transfers. Six freshmen complete the balance of the roster. Among the newcomers are a pair of international players. Sophomore transfer Alana McShane is from Northern Ireland while freshman Angelica Wallerstedt is a native of Sweden.

Alumni Weekend Coming Up
Georgia Southern's 2014 Alumni Weekend is set for September 5th. The Eagles face Mercer as a part of the weekend.

Sun Belt Play: Coming Soon
Georgia Southern's inaugural season in the Sun Belt Conference features four home games beginning on October 3rd when Arkansas State comes to town. Two days later the Eagles will face Arkansas Little Rock at the friendly confines.

GATA Game set for October 24th
The 2014 Women's Soccer GATA Game is set for October 24th against Texas State. The marquee contest is a chance for all Georgia Southern student-athletes to come together and support each other.
