STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Women's Soccer kicks off the 2014 season on Sunday afternoon with a preseason friendly against The Citadel. The game is set for 1 p.m. at Eagle Field in Statesboro.

First Game of 2014-15
Sunday's game is the first contest of the 2014-15 academic year, the University's first as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. The nine-month season opens a new era for the department and the Eagle women's soccer program.
Hello Newcomers
The 2014 Eagles feature 10 newcomers including two players with Division I experience and two additional transfers. Six freshmen complete the balance of the roster.
Eagle Open the Season on the Road
Georgia Southern's first four games of the 2014 season will be played on the road with swings through the Carolinas and a pair of tournament games at Auburn.
Sun Belt Play: Coming Soon
Georgia Southern's inaugural season in the Sun Belt Conference features four home games beginning on October 3rd when Arkansas State comes to town. Two days later the Eagles will face Arkansas Little Rock at the friendly confines.
Alumni Weekend Coming Up
Georgia Southern's 2014 Alumni Weekend is set for September 5th. The Eagles face Mercer as a part of the weekend.
GATA Game set for October 24th
The 2014 Women's Soccer GATA Game is set for October 24th against Texas State. The marquee contest is a chance for all Georgia Southern student-athletes to come together and support each other.
