STATESBORO, Ga. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has named Georgia Southern a Scholar All-America team for the spring 2014 semester.
It's the 13th consecutive semester Georgia Southern has earned the honor; the Eagles have been named a Scholar All-America Team each and every semester since the award's inception in 2008.
"To be among the top performing teams in the country is part of our mission," said head coach Nathan Kellogg. "I couldn't be more proud of our team's continued academic success."
The Georgia Southern swimmers and divers posted an impressive 3.35 grade point average for the spring, and 18 Eagles were named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll for posting a 3.0 grade point average or better for the 2013-14 academic year. Three posted perfect 4.0 grade point averages, the most of any program at Georgia Southern, and 12 made the school's Dean's List with GPAs above 3.5.
