Hunter Thomas Named Player of the Week

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern rising senior Hunter Thomas was named the Valley Baseball League's Co-Player of the Week for the week ending on June 15.
Thomas, who is playing summer collegiate baseball for the Staunton Braves, went six for 13 (.462) with a double, a triple and a home run in three games.
Thomas posted a .588 on-base percentage and a .923 slugging percentage. He also drew two walks, was hit by two pitches, stole two bases and scored four runs.
Thomas is hitting .412 with a home run and five RBI in nine games for the Braves this summer. He hit .257 with a home run, eight doubles and 17 RBI in 40 games for the Eagles during the 2014 SoCon Championship season.
