STATESBORO, Ga. – The first Eagle to compete in the 200m Dash at NCAA East Regionals since 2003, Aarian Tipton posted a top-five season time with a 24.67 Friday night at Hodges Stadium for 46th place. She finishes her collegiate career in that event as the Georgia Southern record holder, breaking the mark at the SoCon Championships at the end of April.
Tipton was one of two Eagles to qualify for individual events at the 2014 NCAA East Regional as Jasmin Walker competed in the Long Jump last night. Both are members of the University and SoCon record-holding 4X100m Relay team that will race Saturday night at 6:15 p.m.
The top 12 relay teams in both the East and West Regions advance to the NCAA national championships June 11-14 in Eugene, Oregon.
