STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Softball returns to Southern Conference play this weekend for a three-game set against Chattanooga. The Eagles hold a two and half game lead over both Chattanooga and Furman entering the final two weeks of the regular season. The crucial series starts on Saturday at 1 p.m.

30+ WINS PLATEAUFor the third-straight season and the 10th time in program history, Georgia Southern Softball has reached the 30-wins plateau. The Eagles have had four seasons with 30+ wins in the last five years. In 2012 the Eagles set the school record for wins in a single season with a 42-20 record.
PURVIS WORKING ON BREAKING HER OWN RECORDSenior pitcher
Sarah Purvis is once again closing in on the Georgia Southern single-season strikeouts record. Purvis set the school record in 2012 with 253 strikeouts. Currently Purvis has 221 strikeouts for the season.
EAGLES CLOSE REGULAR SEASON AT SAMFORD NEXT WEEKENDGeorgia Southern's final weekend series in the SoCon era is set for next weekend with the Eagles visiting Samford for a three-game series against the Bulldogs. The three-game set begins on May 3rd at 1 p.m. (CT)/2 p.m. (ET).
