¦ Georgia Southern opens play in its 22nd and final Southern Conference Tournament Friday against Wofford.
¦ The Eagles tied for seventh in the league standings and are the eighth seed in the tournament. They will face the ninth-seeded Terriers at 11 a.m. in Kimmel Arena on the campus of UNC Asheville.
¦ The winner moves on to play regular-season champion and top seed Chattanooga.
¦ It's the fourth time Georgia Southern has faced Wofford in the league tournament and first since 2006 when the seventh-seeded Eagles topped 10th-seeded Wofford 77-66.
¦ The teams split the season series this year with GSU winning 79-70 in Hanner Fieldhouse Dec. 16, and the Terriers returning the favor with a 73-49 victory in the Johnson Arena last Friday.
¦ The Eagles are 2-3 in their last five and coming off a 78-68 loss at Furman Sunday.
¦ GSU is 0-2 in neutral site games this season, while Wofford is 0-1.

Anna Claire Knight ranks third in the SoCon and leads GSU in scoring at 15.8 points a game. The junior has scored in double figures in 25 contests and is just the third Eagle to score 400 points in a season since 1998-99, joining Sharon Mitchell (1998-99) and Tiffany Brown (2006-07).

MiMi DuBose, who is averaging 11.3 points a contest, hit four 3-pointers at App Jan. 27 to become the school's career leader in triples. DuBose scored 16 points at Chattanooga Jan. 4 to top the 1,000-point mark for her career. She played in her 100th career contest vs. Davidson Jan. 18.

Danielle Spencer corralled four rebounds vs. Chattanooga Feb. 3 to reach 500 for her career. She is the 18th Eagle in program history to reach the milestone.
¦ Wofford is coming off a 1-1 weekend in the final two games of league play with a 73-49 win over Georgia Southern last Friday and an 83-67 loss to Davidson Sunday.
¦ Jordan Frazier leads the team in scoring with 13.4 points a game and is tied for eighth in the country with three steals a contest.
¦ Logan Morris averages 12.7 points and four rebounds. The senior is averaging 19.7 points in her last three contest and is coming off a 26-point effort against Davidson.Â
¦ Chanel Stokes averages 7.9 points, and Ashton Fleming averages 7.3 points and a team-leading 6.8 rebounds.

¦ Last meeting (2/28/14): Kentra Washington led four Wofford players in double figures with 14 points, and the Terriers shot 57 percent in the second half to cruise to a 73-49 win over Georgia Southern in Johnson Arena.
¦ Washington was 5-for-7 from the floor and 4-of-5 from 3-point range for the Terriers. Logan Morris netted 13 points, and Ashton Fleming tallied 12 points and six rebounds. Chanel Stokes recorded 10 points and five rebounds.
¦ With the Eagles trailing by five at halftime,
Briana Jones scored the first bucket of the second half for Georgia Southern, but Stokes banked in a 3-pointer from the wing for Wofford, igniting a 27-4 run over the first 10 minutes of the frame. Stokes hit another 3-pointer during the stretch, and Washington made two from long distance as Wofford opened a 59-33 cushion with 9:31 to play.

Danielle Roberts hit a 3-pointer, but the Eagles never got the margin under 20 points the rest of the way. The Terriers made 5-of-9 from long distance in the half and hit 15-of-27 from the field.
¦ The game was back and forth in the first half with seven ties and six lead changes. With the Terriers leading by one point late in the period, Washington hit a jumper, and after the Eagles missed on their trip down the floor, Michelle Merritt got a putback with a just over a second on the clock to give Wofford a 32-27 lead at the break.
¦ Georgia Southern was held to 36 percent shooting for the game and 31 percent in the second half. The Eagles also committed 19 turnovers.

Lacie Dowling tied the school record with eight 3-pointers against Detroit (11/30) and scored a career-high 26 points in the game. She shares the record with Alie Rousseau, who notched eight triples vs. Appalachian State Feb. 8, 2000. The performance helped Dowling earn all-tournament honors at the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament.
¦ Dowling has played in every game this season and started 26. She tallied a career-high seven assists at Western Carolina Jan. 25.

Anna Claire Knight is 29 points away from 1,000 for her career and corralled her 400th career rebound at Furman March 2. She has two career double-doubles and registered the first triple-double in program history and the 11th in the country this season with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists at Samford Jan. 6.

Briana Jones, who sat out last season after transferring from James Madison, has four double-doubles in her first campaign playing for the Eagles. She has started 27 games.

Jordi Cook played in her 100th career game at Western Carolina Jan. 25. She was one of three Eagles to play in all 31 games in 2012-13.

Sierra Kirkland scored a career high 12 points at Appalachian State (1/27). The sophomore has played in every game in her career.

MiMi DuBose had a streak of 87 straight games and 83 consecutive starts come to an end at UNCG Feb. 10.
¦ Five Eagles scored in double figures at Appalachian State Jan. 27. It's the first time since early in the 2008-09 season that GSU placed five players in double figures.

Anna Claire Knight was named All-Southern Conference by both the league's coaches and the sports media association.
¦ Knight was named all-conference by the league's coaches, who select one team of 10 players. She was named second-team All-SoCon by the sports media association, which picks two, five-player teams. Knight is the first Eagle to be named to the SoCon postseason all-conference team since 2008, when Shawnda Atwood and Tiffany Brown earned the accolade.
¦ Knight ranked third in the league in scoring with 15.8 points a game and added 4.8 rebounds and two assists a contest. The junior scored in double figures in 25 contests.

Anna Claire Knight was named the SoCon Player of the Week Jan. 7 after averaging 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and six assists in two games and posting the first triple-double in program history with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists at Samford.
¦ She earned the honor again Feb. 18 after tallying 31 points and nine boards at Davidson. She is the first Eagle to win SoCon Player of the Week twice in the same season since Nicole Newton in 2005-06.
¦ Knight was named SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week for the third time in her career Dec. 18.
